Candidates joining Everest come from a vast array of professional backgrounds, including other top strategic management consulting firms, industry positions, and entrepreneurships. Important skills include proven quantitative, analytical, problem-solving and conceptual thinking skills, and we value industry/functional knowledge. Other critical capabilities include solid client interaction, a collaborative work style and strong interpersonal and team skills. Candidates should be self-motivated, organized, energetic and disciplined. A bachelor’s degree is required; however, many of our consultants have an MBA or other relevant graduate degree.
Everest also hires functional area specialists to act as subject matter experts on our client teams. Specialists must have sound experience in such areas as Finance and Accounting, Human Resources, Procurement, or IT, including five or more years of exposure to industry or management consulting. We seek creative, committed individuals who possess strong problem-solving skills, embrace challenges as opportunities, focus on value and excellence, are self-aware and self-critical, enjoy people-intensive work and possess effective communication skills.
